Work briefing

Work briefing:  Mr Zhang (centre) is briefed on the work of the HKSAR Government.

National People's Congress Standing Committee Chairman Zhang Dejiang received a briefing on the work of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government this afternoon.

 

Accompanied by Chief Executive CY Leung, Mr Zhang was greeted upon arrival at the Central Government Offices by Chief Secretary Carrie Lam, Financial Secretary John Tsang and Secretary for Justice Rimsky Yuen.

 

Principal Officials of the HKSAR Government and Permanent Secretaries attended the briefing.

 

Following a group photo with the participants, Mr Zhang received reports on various aspects of the work of the HKSAR Government.

 

Mr Zhang said Mr Leung has led the HKSAR Government in implementing the "one country, two systems" principle and the Basic Law, and has strived to promote Hong Kong's economic and livelihood development, with success on multiple fronts.

 

He commended Mr Leung and the HKSAR Government for their efforts, forecasting a bright future for the city.

 

Mr Leung thanked Mr Zhang for visiting, adding the HKSAR Government's achievements are dependent on the Central Government's support.
