Secretary for Development Paul Chan visited science, heritage and cultural facilities in Tsuen Wan today and met with District Councillors.
He first visited the Ma Wan Solar Tower, which is a science exhibition, education and research centre in which visitors can view the Sun's surface.
He then went to Fong Yuen Study Hall. Formerly a rural private school listed as a Grade III historic building in 2010, it was selected in the first batch of buildings under the Revitalising Historic Buildings Through Partnership Scheme and renovated.
Mr Chan then visited Yan Chai Hospital Lim Por Yen Secondary School to chat with students.
He later met with Tsuen Wan District Council members to discuss local development and livelihood issues.
