CE to visit India

Chief Executive CY Leung will lead a business delegation to India from February 2 to 4, to meet with political and business leaders and to foster closer economic and trade relations between the two places.

 

Mr Leung will visit Mumbai on February 2 and 3. He will meet Maharashtra Governor Chennamaneni Vidyasagar Rao; Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis; and leaders of major Indian conglomerates.

 

He will also attend luncheons hosted by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry, and visit Mumbai's stock exchange and Bharat Diamond Bourse.

 

On February 4, Mr Leung will visit New Delhi to meet with Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Commerce & Industry officials. He will also attend a luncheon and a dinner reception hosted by the Confederation of Indian Industry and the HKTDC, and visit the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi.

 

He will be accompanied by Director of the Chief Executive's Office Edward Yau, Director of Information Services Patrick Nip and other officials.

 

Chief Secretary Carrie Lam will be Acting Chief Executive during Mr Leung's absence.
