CS meets UK lawmakers

January 25, 2016

Chief Secretary Carrie Lam met a delegation from the British Parliament's All Party Parliamentary China Group today.

During a lunch that was also attended by British Consul-General Caroline Wilson, Mrs Lam briefed the delegation on Hong Kong's latest developments and the implementation of "one country, two systems".

She also discussed economic, trade and cultural ties between Hong Kong and Britain.

The delegation, comprising Parliament members Graham Brady, Michelle Donelan, Karl McCartney, Andrew Stephenson, Henry Smith, Roberta Blackman-Woods, Jonathan Reynolds, Joan Ryan and Jeff Smith, is the largest since the group's first visit more than 12 years ago.

They will meet with other senior Government officials and legislative councillors, and visit different organisations during their week-long visit.
