Chief Executive CY Leung met CPC Shenzhen Municipal Committee Secretary Ma Xingrui at Government House today.
Mr Leung noted that Hong Kong and Shenzhen have been working closely in various areas and expressed his gratitude for Shenzhen's support in economic and trade issues, youth co-operation and immigration collaboration.
The Chief Executive added the comprehensive deepening of the country's reform will bring about more opportunities for the joint development of Hong Kong and Shenzhen.
Both sides agreed to continue strengthening co-operation on various fronts including innovation and technology, creative industries and financial services.
Mr Leung and Mr Ma also met with Sweden's Karolinska Institutet Vice-Chancellor Prof Anders Hamsten at Government House where they exchanged views and experiences on innovation and technology development.
