Secretary for Justice Rimsky Yuen will visit Beijing and Shanghai from August 17 to 22, to promote Hong Kong's legal and dispute resolution services and to boost legal exchanges.
Mr Yuen will attend the "Seminar on the Legal & Dispute Resolution Services in Hong Kong" in Beijing and Shanghai on August 19 and 20 respectively, and deliver speeches to introduce Hong Kong's arbitration and mediation services.
The seminars aim to help Mainland enterprises further understand Hong Kong's legal and dispute resolution services and business environment.
Mr Yuen will attend the opening ceremony of a Mainland summer internship programme for Hong Kong law students on August 17 in Beijing, and will attend the graduation ceremony of another summer internship programme for Hong Kong law students in Shanghai on August 21.
He will also meet with Ministry of Justice, Shanghai Municipal Government and Shanghai Bureau of Justice officials, as well as relevant arbitration and mediation organisations.
