The Government will inject $50 million into the Disaster Relief Fund to help provide earthquake relief work in Nepal.
The Government will seek the Legislative Council Finance Committee’s approval as soon as possible.
The Disaster Relief Fund Advisory Committee Secretariat has contacted several relief organisations. Some plan to apply to the fund for aid for emergency relief programmes.
The committee will expeditiously process the applications.
