Chief Executive CY Leung will visit Kuala Lumpur on April 25 and 26 to attend the 12th Association of Southeast Asian Nations Leadership Forum.
Mr Leung will deliver a keynote speech and attend a dinner reception.
He will also meet officials from the association's member countries, Malaysian business leaders, and Hong Kong people in Malaysia.
He will be accompanied by Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Gregory So, Chief Executive's Office Director Edward Yau, Director of Information Services Patrick Nip and other officials.
He will return on April 27. Chief Secretary Carrie Lam will be the Acting Chief Executive during his absence.
