Chief Executive CY Leung and Shanghai Mayor Yang Xiong attended the third plenary session of the Hong Kong/Shanghai Economic & Trade Co-operation Conference in Shanghai today.

The two sides signed agreements designed to strengthen collaboration in three areas including trade & commerce, finance, and exchange of civil servants.

Speaking at the conference, Mr Leung noted that Hong Kong and Shanghai have played an important role in the country's development, adding that the two places should boost co-operation in the future.
