Chief Secretary Carrie Lam visited Police Headquarters today to learn about the force’s work in enhancing online security and combatting technology crime.
She visited the Cyber Security & Technology Crime Bureau, set up this year to tackle the worldwide trend of increasing technology crime.
Mrs Lam was briefed about the force’s cyber security centre, its forensic techniques and international co-operation.
She also visited the Counter Terrorism & Internal Security Division and was briefed on the Police's counter-terrorism strategy.
Mrs Lam commended police officers for their dedication and professionalism in upholding public safety in Hong Kong, and encouraged them to continue to serve with pride and care.
