Chief Executive CY Leung says cooperation between Hong Kong and Hubei province is important, which is why he suggested establishing an economic and trade office there in his first Policy Address.

He met Communist Party of China Hubei Provincial Committee Secretary Li Hongzhong and Hubei Governor Wang Guosheng in Wuhan today.

Mr Leung noted that cooperation between Hong Kong and the Mainland in areas such as financial services, real estate, and trading and logistics has shown satisfactory results, adding that he is looking forward to more cooperative efforts in other areas including culture, technology, education and youth exchange.
