The Steering Committee on Population Policy held a forum today to discuss various population policy initiatives and the tasks ahead.
Thirty guests from the business sector, academia, think tanks and non-governmental organisations and Government officials discussed a range of issues.
They included economic development, nurturing home-grown talent, helping women balance family and work commitments, extending working life, talent admission and labour importation.
Participants also noted the Government will focus on implementing the policy initiatives announced and monitoring their effectiveness.
The steering committee will continue to engage various sectors by organising the forum regularly.
