Chief Executive CY Leung has expressed concern over an injured hawker control officer, adding that violence against frontline law enforcement officers would not be tolerated.

Speaking to the media before an Executive Council meeting this morning, Mr Leung noted that the hawker control officer sustained a serious head injury after he was pushed to the ground when taking enforcement action in Central on Sunday.

Mr Leung extended his regards to the officer, who remains in critical condition, and his family.
