The Government has announced appointments to the Human Organ Transplant Board, re-appointing substantive members Dr John Chan and Chan Ka-wai and panel members Leung Siu-kum and Lianne Lam.
Serving panel member Dr Gene Tsoi is appointed as substantive member. Dr Thomas Yau is appointed as a new panel member.
All appointments will start from February 15, for a three-year term.
Secretary for Food & Health Dr Ko Wing-man welcomed the new members. He also thanked outgoing substantive member Prof Anthony Chan for his invaluable contributions to the board in the past six years.
The Human Organ Transplant Board is tasked to approve restricted organ removal or transplants. It consists of nine substantive members and 14 panel members from medical, social work and legal sectors.
