Chief Secretary Carrie Lam will lead a Government delegation to Fujian for the first Hong Kong/Fujian Co-operation Conference on January 22.
Mrs Lam and Fujian Vice-Governor Zheng Xiaosong will co-chair the conference in Fuzhou.
The meeting will discuss ways to boost economic, trade and financial cooperation.
The delegation will call on the leaders of Fujian Province, Quanzhou and Xiamen, and visit local enterprises there.
They will also meet with Hong Kong people living, doing business or studying in Fujian.
Secretary for Constitutional & Mainland Affairs Raymond Tam, Permanent Secretary for Constitutional & Mainland Affairs Chang King-yiu, Under Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Godfrey Leung and Under Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury James Lau will join the delegation.
During their absence, Secretary for Home Affairs Tsang Tak-sing will be acting Chief Secretary, and Under Secretary for Constitutional & Mainland Affairs Lau Kong-wah will be Acting Secretary.
