The Village Representative and Kaifong Representative elections will be held in January, with the nomination period from November 14 to 27.
The Village Representative Election - which includes indigenous inhabitant representatives and resident representatives - will be held on three consecutive Sundays from January 4 to 18 next year, while the Cheung Chau & Peng Chau Kaifong Representative polls will be held for the first time on January 25 next year.
There are 709 villages with a total of 1,484 village representative seats, including 695 resident and 789 indigenous inhabitant representative seats.
In addition, there are 39 Kaifong representative seats for Cheung Chau and 17 for Peng Chau.
