Chief Secretary Carrie Lam today chaired the last two sessions of Central People's Government Liaison Office Director Zhang Xiaoming’s four meetings with pan-democratic legislators on constitutional development.

Speaking to the media after the sessions, Mrs Lam said the atmosphere was good and friendly during the talks.

She said the meetings enhanced communication between the two parties, with legislators expressing their principles concerning constitutional development, however, no specific proposal was discussed.

Eighteen pan-democratic legislators attended the four meetings, adding that a reform seminar for all legislators will be held in Shenzhen on August 21.
