The Information Services Department today launched its new-look website.
It has a more streamlined and graphic-oriented interface on the landing page to provide a better user experience and help visitors easily access a wide range of news and information about the department and its work.
Shortcut buttons for "Press Releases", "Videos", "Webcasting", "TV Announcements" and "New Publications" provide direct access to information in text, photo and video formats.
A new "Photo Sales" link makes it easier to access information on the department's Photo Library, one of the largest and most important photo archives in Hong Kong.
Another new element is the "Photo Gallery", which highlights the work of the department's photographers with more than 500 photos from its records.
Photos include those from the department’s publications and websites, including yearbooks, calendars, overseas exhibitions and the Brand Hong Kong photo book.
"Surfing the website will give you a full picture of the varied work undertaken by ISD colleagues," Director of Information Services Patrick Nip says in his welcome message on the site.
"I hope that you enjoy visiting our website and I welcome any comments or suggestions you may have."
