About 130,000 submissions were received by the Government during its five-month consultation exercise on constitutional development, according to a preliminary count.

About 80,000 are in different forms of questionnaires and 40,000 are different standard submissions with identical or similar content. The figure does not include submissions sent through the post which are not yet received.

The Government said it will carefully analyse, and faithfully and objectively summarise, the views received and submit the consultation report to the Chief Executive.
