On behalf of the Hong Kong Government, Chief Executive CY Leung today congratulated the country on the lunar probe Chang'e-3's successful moon landing.
He said this success makes China the third nation in the world to soft-land on the moon.
Mr Leung said he was proud of the young scientists who had participated in this exploration work, and he expected this effort would result in more achievements.
He hopes Hong Kong's science and technology experts will be able to participate in various facets of China's scientific research.
