Aid request will be processed: CE

Chief Executive CY Leung says the Government will follow procedure and its humanitarian policy in handling a relief agency’s request for aid for Philippine typhoon victims.
 
Speaking to the media today, Mr Leung said he hopes the country's recovery and reconstruction work can be completed as soon as possible, adding he has offered condolences on behalf of Hong Kong.
 
He said the Philippines has not asked for an extension to the Hong Kong Government's deadline on issues related to the Manila hostage tragedy.
 
He said an announcement will be made when there is progress on the discussions.
