Business talk:  Chief Secretary Carrie Lam speaks at a business luncheon in Thailand.

CS updates Thailand on HK

Chief Secretary Carrie Lam met government and United Nations officials, and spoke at a luncheon today, the second day of her Thailand visit.
 
Mrs Lam started the day by calling on the Chinese Ambassador to Thailand Ning Fukui.
 
She then visited the United Nations Educational, Scientific & Cultural Organisation Bangkok Office where she received a briefing, jointly held with ASEAN University Network and the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organisation.
 
At a business luncheon co-organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and the Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office in Singapore, Mrs Lam gave a speech on the advantages of Hong Kong as a business and financial centre and how Thai companies can benefit from the Mainland & Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement.
 
Mrs Lam also had meetings with Minister for Education Chaturon Chaisang and Deputy Minister of Commerce Yanyong Phuangrach, and attended a dinner hosted by Deputy Prime Minister cum Minister of Finance Kittiratt Na-Ranong.
 
The visit continues tomorrow.
