Yuen Long crash claims one life

*
Hong Kong Police

Police are investigating a traffic accident in which a 43-year-old woman was killed and two men, both aged 22, were injured in Yuen Long early this morning.

At about 5am, a 22-year-old man was driving a light goods vehicle along San Tin Highway towards Yuen Long. While approaching Fung Kat Heung, a private car travelling on the wrong side along San Tin Highway towards Yuen Long reportedly rammed into the van.

It spun sideways into the left first lane.

The woman driving the car, the van driver and his passenger were all injured and sent to North District Hospital. The woman was certified dead at 5.37am.

The New Territories North special traffic investigation team are following up the case. People who witnessed the accident should contact Police at 2455 4219 or 2455 4289.
