*
Customs & Excise Department

Customs officers have shut down a drug manufacturing centre and two drug storage centres, seizing drugs worth about $7.6 million and arresting a 61-year-old man.

The officers arrested the man in an anti-narcotics operation yesterday afternoon in Jordan, Kowloon. They later searched three nearby residential premises and seized a total of about 760g of crack cocaine, 6.7kg of cocaine, 180g of heroin and a batch of drug manufacturing equipment.

The arrested man will be charged with manufacturing a dangerous drug and trafficking in a dangerous drug. He will appear at Kowloon City Magistracy tomorrow.
