Navy frigates to visit HK
*

Two missile frigates of the Chinese Navy escort taskforce 529, the Zhoushan and Xuzhou, will make a port call in Hong Kong December 14, berthing at Ngong Shuen Chau Barracks, Stonecutters Island, until December 17.

The public will be allowed to tour the two frigates and the People's Liberation Army will announce arrangements for ticket distribution soon.

The frigates will stop on their return to home base in Zhoushan, Zhejiang, after patrolling the Gulf of Aden to ward off Somali pirates. In the past four months taskforce 529 completed 53 escort missions for 582 Chinese and foreign ships, including 146 from Hong Kong.
