Man dies in Cross Harbour Tunnel crash

A 25-year-old motorcyclist has died following a head-on collision with a van inside the Cross Harbour Tunnel.

 

At about 3am, the motorcyclist had just entered the Kowloon-bound tunnel when he crashed into the van travelling in the opposite lane towards Hong Kong Island.  A 41-year-old man was driving the van.

 

The motorcyclist was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he was certified dead at 3.37am.

 

Anyone who saw the accident should call Police on 3106 8800.
