Police close vice villas in Yuen Long

Hong Kong Police

Police have closed four villas involved in vice activities in Yuen Long in a crackdown in the district.

 

Police and court-appointed bailiffs executed closure orders against the villas on HopYick Road, Hong King Street and Tai Tong Road at about 11am today.

 

The premises were found to be involved in vice-related activities in the past four to 16 months. Police successfully raided the villas and arrested 10 men and 23 women from August 2005 to March 2007. Eleven of the arrested people were prosecuted and sentenced to four to 10 months in jail up their conviction of managing a vice establishment.

 

In 2006, Police arrested more than 470 people for vice-related offences in Yuen Long District.
