*
Hong Kong Police

Police have issued an appeal for information after a senior cyclist died after falling from his bicycle on a village path in Sheung Shui on July 16.

The 71-year-old man was found conscious, lying under his bike in a field near No 19 Hung Leng Sai Tsuen at about 7:30pm. A family member of the passerby who spotted him called Police.

The cyclist was sent to North District Hospital where he was certified dead at 8:17pm.

Police believe he was riding along the village path towards Ping Che Road when he lost control, fell to the left and onto the field below the path.

Anyone who saw the accident or has information is urged to contact Police on 2455 4224 or 2455 4221.
