1 dead, 1 injured in Tai Po mishap

A 22-year-old man has died and a 23-year-old man was injured in a traffic accident in Tai Po early this morning.

 

Around 4am, the 23-year-old was driving a car along Tolo Highway towards the New Territories. Near Kwong Fuk Estate, he reportedly lost control of the car, and it rammed into the railing and overturned.

 

His passenger was certified dead at the scene while the driver was sent to Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethesole Hospital.

 

New Territories North's special traffic investigation team is following up the case. Anyone who saw the accident or has information to offer is urged to call 2675 3325.
