Man dies, 2 injured in Sheung Shui crash

A 40-year-old man was killed and two other people were injured in a traffic accident in Sheung Shui this morning.

 

Just after 5am, a 53-year-old man was driving a light goods vehicle along Fanling Highway towards Sheung Shui. At Yuen Leng, he slowed for prevailing traffic.

 

A medium goods vehicle driven by a 40-year-old man rammed his vehicle from behind and flipped on its side after crashing into the central divider.

 

The younger driver was rushed to Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital where he was certified dead at about 6am.

 

The older driver and his 46-year-old female passenger were sent to North District Hospital for treatment.

 

The New Territories North Special Investigation Team for Traffic is looking into the case.
