Information sought on Tsuen Wan robbery

*
Hong Kong Police

Police today appealed for information on a Tsuen Wan robbery that occurred on February 21.

At about 9.30pm, a 23-year-old man made a report to Police saying that while he was walking past a subway connecting Shek Wai Kok Estate and Luk Yeung Sun Chuen, he saw a man with head injuries in a semi-conscious state. Aged 20, he is now in critical condition at Princess Margaret Hospital.

He was bashed on the head by two men from behind with wooden bars and robbed of a handbag containing personal property including a personal CD player, a wallet, a bankcard and some cash.

Police conducted searches at the scene and found a broken wooden bar with bloodstains in the subway and another wooden bar at its entrance.

One of the culprits is about 30 years old, stands about 1.7 metres tall and is of medium build. He was wearing a round-neck long-sleeve T-shirt with horizontal stripes when committing the crime.

Anyone with information should call Police on 2417 5266 or 2417 5200.
