102 netted in immigration operation
*
Immigration Department

Over 100 two-way permit holders have been arrested for breaching their conditions of stay.

Police mounted a six-hour joint operation with the Immigration Department in Yuen Long early this morning, raiding several abandoned huts and containers in rural areas around Yuen Long and Pat Heung.

Some 102 two-way permit holders, including 84 men and 18 women aged 17 to 59, were arrested. Of them, a 41-year-old man was visiting Hong Kong under the new 'individual visit' scheme.

They will be handed to the Immigration Department for follow-up action.
