Traffic accident

Van crash claims 22-year-old driver
*

Police are investigating a traffic accident in Yau Ma Tei in which a 22-year-old man was killed.

 

Just after 6am, a light goods vehicle travelling along the southbound second lane of the Gascoigne Road flyover towards Tsim Sha Tsui reportedly ran out of control.

 

The van crashed into a central divider outside Prosperous Gardens, leaving the driver trapped inside.

 

Firefighters rescued him and rushed him to Kwong Wah Hospital. He was certified dead at 6.36am.

 

The Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West, is investigating.
