Ice worth $232m seized in joint operation
*

Police have arrested a Hong Kong man suspected to be the ringleader of a drug trafficking syndicate in Sydney after a major drugs haul there.

Hong Kong Police, in a joint operation with the Australian Federal Police, seized about 90 kilograms of the drug Ice, estimated to be worth about $232 million.

A woman and three men, including the 44-year-old suspected ringleader, aged 35 to 44, were arrested.

The investigation into the drugs-trafficking syndicate was launched last June, and the suspected syndicate members in Hong Kong have been under close surveillance.
