Hong Kong athletes have won another silver and three more bronze medals in the East Asian Games today, bringing the city's medal tally to 10 gold, 16 silver and 26 bronze.
The silver medal went to the 5-men bowling team comprising Cheung Chun-chung, Kam Siu-lun, Mak Cheuk-yin, Tseng Tak-hin, Wu Siu-hong, Yeung Wai-ki, which scored 6,361 points in the matches - 355 points less than the winning Korean team.
Kwok Ho-ting, Tang Wang-yip, Wong Kam-po, Yeung Ying-hon's quartet snatched a bronze in the road-cycling team time trial competition in a time of 1:41:36.73, after the Japanese and Chinese teams.
The other two bronze medals came in the women's 50m-freestyle swimming (Hannah Wilson) and women's 4 x 100m medley swimming relay (Kong Man-yi, Sze Hang-yu, Tsai Hiu-wai and Hannah Wilson).
Congratulating them on their remarkable achievements, Secretary for Home Affairs Tsang Tak-sing encouraged Hong Kong athletes to make persistent efforts to win even greater honours.
