Final check: Secretary for Security Ambrose Lee inspects the security measures and arrangements for the WTO 6th Ministerial Conference.
*

Secretary for Security Ambrose Lee says all the security measures and arrangements are in place for the smooth running of the WTO 6th Ministerial Conference.

He is confident that the police and relevant departments are capable of handling whatever happens both inside and outside the conference venue.

Accompanied by Commissioner of Police Dick Lee, the secretary today inspected the security measures and arrangements that are being finalised for next week's conference.

They toured the Wan Chai Sports Ground and the Wan Chai Public Cargo Working Area at Hung Hing Road, which have been designated public activity areas for demonstrations during the conference period.

They also inspected the access points at the Convention & Exhibition Centre and met with frontline police officers, who were conducting searches and inspections at the venue.
