Wong Tai Sin zoning plan approved

The Chief Executive in Council has approved the draft Wang Tau Hom and Tung Tau outline zoning plan, comprising 184 hectares in Wong Tai Sin District.

 

It proposes Kai Tak Nullah be decked in the long term to provide land for urban greening and road widening.

 

The predominant land use in the area will be residential, 71.77 hectares covering most of the existing and proposed public and private housing developments.

 

About 27.17 hectares is zoned open space for recreational facilities, while 39.1 hectares, mainly covering the Lion Rock slopes, is zoned green belt to conserve the natural environment.
