Noise barrier design competition opens
*

Entries are being called for an open international design competition for aesthetically vibrant noise barriers and enclosures.

The competition is organised by government departments and organisations, including the Highways and Environmental Protection Departments.

Gascoigne Road flyover, Tuen Mun Road and Tai Po Tai Wo Road have been selected as the competition settings. The concepts collected in the competition will serve as reference for the Highways Department in designing noise barriers and enclosures in other districts.

The competition is divided into two different groups - professional and open. Registration is open until February 6. Entries should be submitted to the Highways Department, 6/F Ho Man Tin Government Offices, Kowloon, by noon March 6.
