Exhibit to celebrate land registry anniversary
*
Land Registry

The Land Registry will stage an exhibit at Queensway Government Offices from October 28 to November 4 to celebrate its 15th anniversary. Old land records will also go on display.

Visitors can learn more about the registry's history, as well as major service upgrades and achievements since its establishment as a trading fund department.

The exhibit will feature other new initiatives, such as title registration, the launch of a new search system in 2010 and a study on using new technology to make capturing data on memorial forms easy.

Historic documents will be displayed, including the original New Territories Land Register and Government Leases with terms of 999 years, as well as copies of the Japanese Memorial & Deed and the old Memorials.

Online searches of properties through Integrated Registration Information System will also be demonstrated.

The exhibit will open daily from 9am to 5.30pm on the Deck Floor, High Block, Queensway Government Offices. Admission is free. For more details, click here.
