Airport Authority

Hong Kong International Airpot recorded significant traffic growth in July from a year earlier, with passenger volume up 6.6%, to 4.39 million, and air-traffic movements up 6%, to 25,380.

Driven by strong demand for exports and an increase in transshipments, cargo volume reached 315,000 tonnes, up 7.4%.

In the 12 months ending July, the airport handled more than 46 million passengers and 3.63 million tonnes of cargo, up 7.3% and 3.4% on a year earlier. Air-traffic movements also grew 4.2%, to 288,115.
