2 private lots to resume for new rail link
*
Lands Department

Two private lots in Tai Kok Tsui and Tsim Sha Tsui will be resumed for building the KCRC Kowloon Southern Link, the Lands Department says.

The underground strata of a piece of MTRC land in Tai Kok Tsui and an electricity sub-station on Canton Road, with a total area of 62 square metres, will be resumed and will revert to the Government on December 9.

Meanwhile, portions of land and strata at One Peking, Ocean Centre and Olympian City 2 will be temporarily occupied for three and a half years from December 9.

The land and strata will be granted to the KCRC to build the Kowloon Southern Link. Temporarily occupied land will be returned to landowners after the works.

The 3.8km link will extend the West Rail from Nam Cheong Station in Sham Shui Po to East Tsim Sha Tsui Station, which connects to Hung Hom Station. Construction starts in the third quarter for completion in 2009.
