De'Longhi fan heater poses fire risk

*
Fan heater
Product recalled: The internal wires of the De'Longhi fan heater could be subject to undue wear and tear during normal use, posing a fire risk.

The Electrical & Mechanical Services Department has advised consumers to stop using a De'Longhi brand fan heater for safety reasons.

The supplier recently did a quality check that showed the heater's internal wires could be subject to undue wear and tear during normal use, which might pose a fire risk.

The supplier, DL Trading Ltd, said the product in question - type number HBP832B and serial number 33111 - was sold in the local market during the last two months.

Consumers are advised to return the fan heaters as soon as possible to the supplier through designated collection centres for a refund.

Details of the recall can be obtained from the supplier's customer service hotline: 3412 0222.
