Woman with swine flu dies
*

A 59-year-old woman with human swine flu has died in Kwong Wah Hospital.

She was admitted to the hospital for acute bleeding in the area between the brain and the thin tissues that cover the brain, with a headache, on December 7. She had developed flu symptoms since December 12 and was transferred to the intensive care unit on December 14.

She tested positive to human swine flu the next day and was prescribed with Tamiflu and antibiotics.

Her condition deteriorated and she died this morning. The case has been reported to the Hospital Authority and the Centre for Health Protection.
