Tin Shui Wai care project to launch
*
Hospital Authority

Tin Shui Wai residents attending general outpatient clinics for chronic illnesses can now receive primary care services from private doctors under a new Hospital Authority scheme.

The Tin Shui Wai Primary Care Partnership Project will be implemented in phases for 36 months. About 1,000 patients with chronic illnesses will be able to see a private doctor for $45, the same price charged at general outpatient clinics.

A maximum of 10 consultations a year will be subsidised for each patient, including at least six treatment consultations for chronic illnesses and additional treatment for episodic illnesses. The authority will deliver drugs for chronic illnesses to the clinics.

The authority has set up a help desk and hotline (2616 4856) at Tin Shui Wai Health Centre for enquiries.
