Female jaguar Siu Fa
Rest in peace: The 21-year-old female jaguar Siu Fa passed away peacefully.
*

The female jaguar Siu Fa, a long-time resident of the Zoological & Botanical Gardens, has died. The Leisure & Cultural Services Department expresses its sadness at this loss.

The department said the 21-year-old Siu Fa was born in a German zoo in 1987 and was sent to Hong Kong two years later.

Siu Fa will be turned into a specimen for education and exhibition purposes. The cage she occupied will be renovated for endangered primates.
