Woman treated for Dengue fever
*
Centre for Health Protection

The Centre for Health Protection has confirmed an imported Dengue fever case involving a 33-year-old woman, bringing this year's total to 13.

She had visited the Maldives from April 5 to 13 and came down with fever, headache, muscle pain, chills and a rash on April 21. She has recovered after receiving private medical treatment and did not need hospitalisation.

Her two fellow travelers - men aged 30 and 39 - were confirmed to have Dengue fever on April 30 and yesterday. Two other companions also developed symptoms compatible with Dengue fever.

Hong Kong saw 58 imported Dengue fever cases last year. Click here for health tips.
