Safety

2 toy paints found unsafe

Consumers should exercise care when choosing face and body paints for children as two toy paints were found to contain excessive lead, chromium and barium, which may cause poisoning.

Customs obtained samples of the two products from a retailer in Central in October, and sent them to the Government Laboratory for tests.

The results showed the products contained lead, chromium and barium exceeding the safety standard.
