Alert issued on contaminated yoghurt
*
Centre for Food Safety

The Centre for Food Safety has advised consumers not to eat eight types of baby yoghurt, all manufactured by National Foods Limited in Australia, due to possible contamination with metal pieces.

The company has announced the immediate recall of two yoghurt lines as precautionary measures. For details of the affected products, click here.

The centre has contacted the local agent of the products. According to the agent, Hong Kong has imported two of the affected products, namely Baby Yoplait Vanilla & Banana and Baby Yoplait Peach & Pear.

The centre has asked the agent and the retailers concerned to stop selling these products, and will monitor the situation.
