Tai Kok Tsui restaurant shut down
*
Food & Environmental Hygiene Department

The Food & Environmental Hygiene Department has ordered a Tai Kok Tsui restaurant to close for 14 days for repeated violations of the Food Business Regulation.

The restaurant's owners, at Shop No.1, ground floor, Fu Bong Building, No. 52-54 Fuk Tsun Street, were convicted twice for illegal extension of its food business - in November, 2006 and again in April - and levied a total of $4,200 in fines.

The shop owners had also had two convictions for the same offence regarding the same restaurant in July last year.

A total fine of $5,500 was levied at the time, and the restaurant was ordered to close for seven days from October 18 to 24 last year.

Eatery licensees must adhere to the regulation strictly, the department warns, or their licences can be suspended or cancelled.
