Leisure & Cultural Services Department

People aged 35 or above can enrol in the Masters Games 2006 to be held September to February, the Leisure & Cultural Services Department says.

There will be contests in 10 sports - table-tennis, lawn bowls, tennis, swimming, distance running, taichi, badminton, orienteering, gateball and three-on-three basketball, the latter making its debut. More details of the events are available here.

Enrolment will be phased. For gateball, distance running, lawn bowls and swimming, enrolment will run August 11 to 25. Tennis, orienteering and basketball enrolment will be October 23 to November 7, while badminton, table-tennis and taichi enrolment has already ended. Click here to download enrolment forms. Participants will be selected by ballot if enrolments exceed quotas.

The department will invite volunteers to act as umpires in some events. For enquiries call 2414 5555 or 2601 7672.
